Cadere rake

In 2009, an old paintbrush factory was turned into an emerging contemporary art space, hosting artists’ studios and several commercial galleries. At the official opening, without any prior announcements, I’ve allowed myself to exhibit, for about 10 minutes in each gallery, a rake. In my approach, I followed the example of Andrei Cadere, and I also used one of his sticks as a model for the rake-stick. I decided that this newly made-out object  exhibited on the floor so that people can accidentally step on it, reveals  the traditional environment on the Cluj-Napoca art scene and somehow the gap between mainstream and alternative .
